Open space: Looking at this open grassland dotted with oaks and mustard, it’s hard to believe that just behind us there are housing developments. The water tank on the hill in the upper right of this picture served as a landmark locator -- we could see it from the Eagle’s Nest Trail that we took later in the afternoon.
