HIKE #17: Blue Rock Springs/Benicia, Solano (25-April-2005)

A LITTLE bit here, a little bit there — that’s what today’s excursion was all about. Again, our best-laid plans for a quick hike out of Blue Rock Springs Park for the views were delayed because of fog. After admiring the noisy peacocks at the park, we toured downtown Benicia and the waterfront, taking in the views across and along the Carquinez Straits. Once the fog cleared, we headed back up Blue Rock Springs Park for the quick hike to the overlook, then hiked the buffer between Benicia and Vallejo, and finally a section along the waterfront and near the new Zampa bridge.
