Shaded trail: The terrain on this trail varied widely, from open meadows, dappled oak woods, marshy wetlands, dry cobbled slopes and densely shaded redwood forest. We were curious about the fir trees that were cut down, or partially cut through, but there was no one to ask. Anybody know about this?
