Hike #6: Big Rock to Lucas Valley Estates (31-January-2005)

TRULY A FABULOUS HIKE, this six-mile section climbs up to the Big Rock Ridge Fire Road along a well-graded multi-use trail. The views are beautiful, and we all enjoyed the green grass and SUN! There were signs of spring everywhere: geese flying north and some early flowers: see Barbie’s photo album for blue Cynoglossum (“Hound’s Tongue”), white Cardamine californica (“Milkmaids”) and yellow-gold Sanicula arctopoides (“Footsteps of Spring”).
